Associate Solicitor - Commercial Dispute Resolution and Avoidance

Harrison Drury Solicitors is seeking a qualified Solicitor / Associate with over 5 years PQE and proven experience in commercial dispute resolution to help grow our Manchester office.
This is a strategic opportunity for someone entrepreneurial and ambitious. We are looking for a candidate who can generate their own work through their network, while also leveraging our established contacts in Manchester. The ability to bring clients and actively contribute to business development is essential.
The Role
- You will play a key part in building and shaping our Dispute Resolution offering in Manchester. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and growing your own client base, while exploiting our existing contacts in the region
- Managing and progressing cases in line with compliance and procedural requirements
- Providing clear, commercially‑focused advice to clients
- Drafting documents and strategies for complex matters
- Attending court/tribunal hearings and liaising with Counsel and experts
- Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to cross‑refer work and build client relationships
- Contributing to the wider business development and marketing of the team
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Qualified Solicitor / Associate (minimum 5 years PQE)
- Strong background in commercial dispute resolution and ADR
- Proven ability to generate work and bring clients with you
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial awareness and a client‑focused approach
- Confidence working independently and within a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in handling varied work
Desirable:
- Experience in business development and marketing activity
- Knowledge of insolvency disputes
